Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE), will honor 90 winners of the second edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award on 14th November. The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court,
The pioneering award is the first of its kind in the UAE, recognizing distinguished private sector companies and their workforce, to enhance the UAE’s standing as a premier destination for living, work, and investing.
The second edition introduces two new categories- Labor Accommodations and Special Recognition- and expands the total categories from three to five. In response to the high turnout in the inaugural edition, which attracted 66 winners, the number of honorees has been increased to 90 this year.
The total prize value has also increased significantly, from AED 9 million ($2,448,000) in the first edition to AED 37 million ($10,064,000).
The award aims to enhance the competitiveness of the UAE labor market, enhance productivity and efficiency, and recognize outstanding workplace practices. It also focuses on protecting workers’ rights and improving their overall well-being and quality of life within private sector establishments.
MoHRE reported a remarkable increase in participation, receiving over 7,700 applications for this year’s award 120 percent increase compared to the 3,500 applications submitted during the first edition.
Winners will be recognized across five award categories: Establishments, Distinguished Workforce, Labor Accommodation, Business Services Partners, and Special Recognition.
Winning companies will benefit from a comprehensive package, including top-tier classification in MoHRE’s rankings, discounts on Ministry services, priority processing for transactions, assistance with technical challenges, and access to a premium call center service.
