Dubai: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has unveiled an advanced system to automate its daily revenue reconciliation process, marking a significant milestone in financial governance and operational efficiency.
The initiative is the first of its kind among federal entities and aligns the ministry’s revenue records with the Financial Management Information System (FMIS).
The project, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), and the Digital Government, engages cutting-edge technology to automate financial workflows. This enables quicker reconciliations, reduces manual input, and facilitates informed decision-making through reliable and real-time data.
MoHAP’s automation initiative supports the UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025 by accelerating digital integration across government systems.
The system is designed to strengthen financial governance, enhance resource management, and contribute to institutional efficiency while meeting international standards.
Abdullah Ahmed Ahli, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for the Support Services Sector, highlighted that, “This initiative aligns with our wise leadership’s vision to enhance government services and adopt global best practices. It underscores MoHAP’s commitment to streamlining operations and leveraging advanced technologies for excellence in performance and community service.”
The system offers several operational advantages:
- Enhanced Data Accuracy: Ensures precise financial documentation and reconciliation.
- Time and Cost Efficiency: Automates labor-intensive processes, allowing staff to focus on strategic priorities.
- Integrated Reporting: Provides real-time statistics and reports to support effective decision-making.
- Seamless Government Integration: Strengthens digital connections across federal systems to promote the UAE’s digital transformation goals.
Amna Al Mandoos, Head of the Revenue Section at MoHAP, remarked that, “This system was developed using global financial automation standards to ensure compatibility with the federal financial framework, bolstering operational efficiency and accuracy.”
The initiative represents a broader effort by MoHAP to adopt technology-driven solutions, increase institutional competitiveness, and deliver world-class services.
By streamlining processes and improving governance, the ministry is setting a benchmark for excellence in public sector financial operations.
