Dubai: A delegation from the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), led by its Director-General, Mr. Salem Al Marri, recently paved a visit to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library with an ambition to strengthen the cooperation between two entities.
During their visit, the MBRSC delegation explored the library’s distinguished services and space-related literature and references.
Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Mur, Chairman of the Library received the delegation to the facility and highlighted the importance of establishing methods of exchanging knowledge in all areas with specialist national research institutions and centres, including the MBRSC, which has accomplished distinguished achievements in the space sector.
The library showcases Dubai’s new vision to achieve cultural mobility, in addition to its unlimited support for a knowledge-based economy.

Mr. Al Mur affirmed the keenness of the library to forge local, regional and international partnerships aimed at widening the scope of cultural exchange, in line with the UAE’s aspirations to establish a knowledgeable community and promote the value of reading among individuals.
During the visit, the delegation’s members explored the various facilities of the library and its numerous services. The delegation also visited the photography exhibition, which showcases the country’s process of development over the past fifty years.
The visitors were briefed about the library’s work in organizing events and its annual events program, as well as the recent technologies it is utilizing, including artificial intelligence, a book retrieval e-system, a digitization lab, and a robotics system used to respond to inquiries.
Mr. Al Marri lauded the library’s services, facilities and pioneering techniques, underscoring the importance of enhancing the cooperation between the two sides in exchanging expertise in related areas.
At the end of the tour, the MBRSC offered the library several of its new publications, including publications in the Brail language about the Hope Probe.
