Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) has launched new Federal Roads Service Platform. This innovative platform is designed to streamline operations, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, and improve service delivery related to federal road management.
Mohamed Almail, Assistant Undersecretary for the Federal Infrastructure Assets Sector at MoEI, said that, “Through developing the platform, the Ministry seeks to keep pace with government aspirations to eliminate bureaucracy and enhance customers’ experience. We aim to implement innovative tech-based government practices to improve efficiency and deliver cutting-edge services that go beyond customers’ expectations.”
Almail also mentioned that the platform streamlines the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) by cutting down the required documents from eight to just three, reducing the procedures from 26 to 13, and shortening the processing time from 14 days to seven. For NOC renewals, the platform simplifies the process by decreasing the number of procedures from 11 to three and making the service time instantaneous, eliminating the need to attach any documents.

The Federal Infrastructure Assets Sector at MoEI held three meetings with customers and private sector representatives to involve them in developing future services that address their needs.
In early 2024, the UAE launched a Zero Government Bureaucracy program aimed at revamping government operations to improve efficiency and service quality. This initiative focuses on eliminating redundant procedures and simplifying administrative processes.
All ministries and government agencies are required to implement the program immediately, with goals to cancel at least 2,000 government measures, reduce processing times by half, and eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy by the end of 2024.
The initiative comes in response to longstanding concerns about delays and inefficiencies in the processing of road-related services. By digitizing and centralizing various functions, the MoEI aims to provide quicker access to information and services for users, ensuring that road management is more transparent and user-friendly.
