Abu Dhabi: The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) has opened registrations for executives to apply for a six-day AI program. It is scheduled at its campus in Abu Dhabi in October 2024.
The MBZUAI Executive Program – Accelerated (MEP-A), a streamlined version of the university’s MBZUAI Executive Program (MEP), is accepting applications from thirty local and international executives for its first cohort.
The program will start on October 20 with an orientation day. From October 21 to October 25, 2024, there will be lectures on campus, site visits, and networking and cultural events.
The UAE National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, AI foundations, and case studies from the manufacturing, energy, and robotics industries will all be covered in the curriculum.
Through site tours and networking activities, participants will also have the chance to see firsthand how UAE-based businesses are implementing AI and cutting-edge technologies.
Instructors include MBZUAI’s President and University Professor, Eric Xing; Pehong Chen Distinguished Professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley, Michael Jordan; Vice President for Research and Professor of Robotics at MBZUAI, Sami Haddadin; and instructors from top international institutions, as well as leaders from national entities.
Sultan Al Hajji, Vice President of Public Affairs and Alumni Relations at MBZUAI, remarked that, “MEP-A has maintained its academic rigor and offers local and international executives, startup founders and co-founders, top management from publicly traded companies and multinational corporations, and international foundation directors’ the opportunity to access the greatest global minds in Artificial Intelligence right here in Abu Dhabi.
“In return for their minimal time commitment, participants will graduate with knowledge on the best practices in AI strategy and implementation as well as how to use the power of AI responsibly. The programme will conclude with business integration – enabling participants to directly apply their knowledge to their organisations – and networking opportunities with past MEP alumni.”
In preparation for MEP-A, the selection committee will choose fifteen foreign and fifteen UAE-based participants, who will have the option to attend GITEX Global at the Dubai World Trade Center from October 14–18, 2024. Applicants must submit their applications by September 25, 2024.
