Dubai: As part of World Calligraphy Day, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will host a panel discussion on “Arabic Calligraphy: Between Creativity and Innovation” on Monday, August 12, at 7 PM. This event aligns with the Library’s mission to enhance cultural and artistic awareness.
The session, moderated by Bader Al Awadi, will feature Emirati calligraphers Narjes Noureddine and Maryam Al Balooshi, along with Zaid Al Athamy, a lecturer and researcher in Islamic art and culture. The panelists will discuss the impact of modern technologies on Arabic calligraphy, exploring how these advancements have influenced the tools and techniques used in this traditional art form.
