Abu Dhabi: The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation established Harib General Hospital in Ma’rib Governorate, Yemen, and provided it with support and equipment in order for the hospital to help the health sector and offer exceptional services to the Yemeni people.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President, gave the order to help the hospital, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Foundation, followed up on it.
As part of the foundation’s work in Yemen and its support for the nation’s health sector, the initiative will be crucial in raising the calibre of local healthcare services by repairing hospitals, supplying them with medical equipment, and staffing them with doctors.
The director of Harib General Hospital as well as representatives from the directorate’s health office were all met with Mr. Nader Abdul Rahman Al Mulla, the Foundation’s representative. Local officials in the Harib District expressed their gratitude for the foundation’s and the UAE’s help.
Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation
The foundation was established by Law No. 20 in July 2007, issued by Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
The vision of the Foundation is “Pioneering Initiatives for Welfare” and its strategies are focused on health and education on domestic, regional and global scales. The educational strategy of the Foundation includes supporting vocational educational projects in countries of the region, health needs related to malnutrition, child protection and care and the provision of safe water on a global level.
