Abu Dhabi: The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), has participated in DRIFTx 2025 as the event’s official regulatory partner.
The exhibition, held from November 10 to 12 during the inaugural Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week, has served as a global platform for showcasing ITC’s smart mobility innovations and the emirate’s vision for the future of transportation.
The ITC stand has drawn significant attention with its immersive experience room, offering visitors a glimpse into Abu Dhabi’s future of autonomous land and air mobility. Using cutting-edge simulation and advanced audio-visual technology, the experience demonstrates real-life scenarios of driverless transport and showcases ITC’s digital transformation and pioneering smart mobility projects.
Among the highlights is the National Unified Drone Platform, supervised by the General Civil Aviation Authority and the Cyber Security Council. This platform is a national system designed to manage and regulate unmanned aircraft operations across the UAE, integrating low-altitude air navigation systems.

The ITC stand also features an information section detailing the regulations for unmanned aircraft operations in Abu Dhabi. Visitors can learn about procedures, operational approvals, and the legal frameworks that ensure safe and organized management of the emirate’s airspace.
Another major highlight is the Low-Altitude Economic Regulation Initiative, which seeks to establish a comprehensive legislative and economic framework for advanced air mobility. The initiative aims to promote commercial growth in areas such as aerial delivery, photography, and urban air transport while maintaining strong governance and security standards.
Additionally, ITC is presenting Fusion – the Smart Mobility Analytics Framework, a data-driven platform that employs big data and artificial intelligence to analyse mobility patterns, evaluate network performance, and guide future transport investments.
By participating in DRIFTx 2025, ITC has reaffirmed Abu Dhabi’s position as a regional and global leader in sustainable and smart transport. The initiative underscores the emirate’s goal of building a fully integrated, technology-driven mobility ecosystem that connects land, maritime, and air transport sectors for a smarter and safer future.
