Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s government-backed health service, Emirates Health Services (EHS) was recently honored by the Smart Government Awards 2022 for Digital Government Content from Us-based International Excellence Foundation.
Florida-based International Excellence Foundation works with stakeholders across the globe to advance e-government and smart government websites.
EHS’ victory was revealed during an awards ceremony which was held on the 29th of June at Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Dubai.
THE ACCOMPLISHMENT
The Award recognized Emirates Health Services for its outstanding digital content, designed and developed by local talents on its team, which met all international standards for e-government and smart government websites, as well as all requirements for the award.
The criteria based on which EHS was evaluated include;
- Proactiveness, Speed, and Transparency in the Dissemination of News and Information
- The Ability to Predict and Respond to the needs of the public
- Diversity and Flexibility by adapting to Emerging Technologies, Local and International developments
- Rapid response to Emergencies and Crises, and
- Aligning with the Digital Age to enhance Competitiveness
This win for Emirates Health Services is the result of the tremendous efforts we have to drive development and achieve commendable results that live up to EHS’ mission.

Director of the Communication and Marketing Department at EHS, expressed his delight about the achievement.
Meanwhile, Ms. Alanoud Al-Haddad, Head of the Digital Communication Department at EHS, highlighted that, Emirates Health Services is leading great efforts to invest in its staff, in line with its strategy to empowering its human capital, enhance communication via electronic and digital channels, and promote innovation and health-related research.
SMART GOVERNMENT AWARDS
The Smart Government Awards strive to;
- Improve e-government and smart government websites and social media platforms
- Encourage creativity in designing these websites, pages, and smart applications for Arab governments, and
- Honor the best pages designed in accordance with international standards for smart and e-government sites
