Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) has unveiled significant upgrades to its Internal Audit Platform, introducing a pioneering classification system and advanced technological enhancements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of internal audit practices.
The Internal Audit Platform, a groundbreaking initiative by ADAA, serves as a centralized database for internal audit units across subject entities.
The platform’s latest upgrades include a streamlined user interface for easier data and document uploads, a robust Knowledge Hub to support audit practices and a dynamic performance monitoring dashboard.
A key highlight of the upgrade is the new classification system for internal audit units, which evaluates and categorizes their performance into three distinct tiers:
- Category 1: Units fully compliant with audit rules and standards.
- Category 2: Units that comply with minor shortcomings.
- Category 3: Units not meeting compliance requirements.
The structured approach aims to enhance transparency, drive accountability, and foster continuous improvement across audit units.
The platform’s Knowledge Hub, another significant addition, is designed as an interactive resource center offering tools, training materials, and guidance to internal auditors.
By providing access to best practices and compliance resources, the hub aims to strengthen the skills of auditors and ensure adherence to professional standards.
The advanced dashboard further enhances ADAA’s ability to monitor the performance of internal audit units in real-time. This feature enables the authority to identify areas for improvement and implement measures to ensure high-quality audit activities across all subject entities.
