Ajman: The International Charity Organization (ICO) in Ajman has launched a new AED 3 million initiative to assist expatriates who have violated residency laws. The program, called “Correction of the Status of Violators,” helps individuals complete necessary residency procedures and waive fines.
This initiative is part of a broader campaign led by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP), aiming to support those who have violated entry and residency regulations. The campaign offers expatriates a two-month amnesty, allowing them to resolve their status or exit the country without penalties, fines, or exit fees.
Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Secretary-General of ICO, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the organization’s mission to support national campaigns and assist individuals in legalizing their residency status. In the first phase, ICO will process applications from 600 eligible individuals.
Founded in 1984 under an Amiri decree by H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, the Ruler of Ajman and Member of the UAE Supreme Council, ICO is a pioneering institution in the charitable field. It continues to contribute to improving the lives of those in need, promoting sustainable development, and ensuring a dignified life for all.
