Dubai: The “Hatta Ramadan Championship” will be held in Hatta, with a record-breaking turnout of participants and spectators from March 24th to April 14th 2023.
The Championship is organized by the Team Games Co. in Hatta Sports Club each year during the Holy Month of Ramadan with assistance from the Dubai Sports Council. Taking place in Al Dhahra School for Basic and Secondary Education in Hatta, the festival features three sporting events volleyball, running, and futsal.
The competitions for futsal and volleyball will begin on the second day of Ramadan. Eight teams will compete in the volleyball competition, while 16 teams will compete in the futsal competition, which will be divided into four groups. Both competitions will be organised in conjunction with the Hatta Cultural Club.

The 9th day of Ramadan is set aside for the running race, and the competitors are divided into four categories that are the 6 KM categories for men and women, and the 2 KM categories for boys and girls. On March 20th, the registration door for all competitions will close. On March 21st in the Hatta Community Centre, a draw ceremony for the futsal and volleyball competitions will take place.
Alongside the Championship, there will be a number of family-friendly activities and kid-friendly tournaments, including sporting events. Daily draws will be held for the general public to win worthwhile gifts. The new Walk Tracks in Hatta will host children’s events as well as an elderly community walkathon. In cooperation with the Community Development Authority, a marketplace exhibition for the sale of goods made by families will be organised.
The Championship is conducted at Hatta in partnership with DSC and Dubai Police, who are tasked with handling security-related issues and ensuring that people may enter freely to watch the competitions. Al Shaafar Investment, Hatta Guest House, and Hatta Kayak are the event’s sponsors. From its inception, the Championship has drawn a sizable following of supporters who are fervently drawn to the fields to watch and cheer for their favourite teams.
