Abu Dhabi: The Half Marathon in Al Ain has been organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) in partnership with ADNOC and will take place on November 8, 2025.
The race will begin at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium and feature four distances, 21.1 km Half Marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and 2.5 km. The event has aimed to promote the upcoming ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon, scheduled for December 2025, while reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s growing reputation as a global hub for sports and community engagement.
By blending Al Ain’s heritage with modern sporting culture, the event encourages runners of all ages and fitness levels, from families and sports clubs to individual athletes, to participate.

Serving as the second promotional race before the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon on December 13, 2025, the Al Ain Half Marathon seeks to build excitement for the main event. It also supports the Sports Council’s mission to increase community involvement and expand the number of local and regional participants.
His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, stated that, “The organization of the Al Ain Half Marathon is part of our continuous efforts to establish Abu Dhabi as a world-class sports and community destination. We are proud to host this event in Al Ain, a city that combines authenticity, heritage, and natural beauty, reflecting the diversity that defines our nation.”
“The Al Ain Half Marathon embodies the Abu Dhabi Sports Council’s vision to enhance community participation in sports and to encourage everyone to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle. It also serves as a key milestone on the road to the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon, one of the region’s most prominent sporting events,” Al Awani added.
