Mountain View, California: Google has announced the November 2025 Pixel Drop, introducing a suite of AI-driven updates and creative tools for Pixel users. The rollout brings enhanced messaging experiences, scam protection, expanded regional features, and system improvements across Pixel devices.
The highlight of the update is the Remix feature in Google Messages, powered by Nano Banana, Google’s Gemini-based image editing model. This tool allows users to restyle any photo, including selfies, portraits, or pet images, into various artistic formats like 3D animation, anime, and sketches.
Once edited, the recipient can view the transformed photo regardless of their device type. For chats between Google Messages users, both participants can remix the same image interactively within the app, without switching platforms.

Another major addition is AI-powered notification summaries, designed to simplify long group chats and message threads. The feature provides concise recaps directly in the notification shade, helping users catch up quickly. Starting December 2025, Pixel devices will also use AI to organize and mute lower-priority notifications, minimizing distractions and improving focus.
The Scam Detection feature is being enhanced to alert users about potentially fraudulent messages. Pixel 6 and newer models in the US will now display a ‘Likely Scam’ warning when suspicious chat notifications appear, analyzing messages for scam-like patterns.
Additionally, Google is updating the VIP widget to include a new crisis badge, offering real-time alerts about critical events such as flooding in the user’s vicinity. Beyond messaging and safety updates, Google Photos users in the US can now access personalized editing tools, while Google Maps introduces a Power Saving mode that presents a simplified interface showing only essential navigation information to extend battery life.

For customization enthusiasts, Google has added ‘Wicked: For Good’ theme packs, inspired by the musical film, allowing users to personalize their Pixel’s visual style. In terms of global availability, two Pixel-exclusive features, Scam Detection and Call Notes, are expanding to new regions. Scam Detection, which uses AI to identify suspicious speech patterns, will now roll out to Pixel 9 and newer devices in Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, and the UK.
Meanwhile, Call Notes, which employs on-device AI to record calls, take notes, and generate summaries and transcripts, will become available in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Japan, and the UK.
The November 2025 Pixel Drop continues Google’s push toward AI-enhanced convenience, offering users smarter communication tools, stronger protection against scams, and new creative options through Nano Banana-powered Remix editing.
