New York: The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has been awarded the prestigious Gold Stevie Award for Innovation in Human Resources Management, Planning & Practice. This recognition was given for GDRFA Dubai’s project, “Organisational Development and Talent Planning System,” at the 9th annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers 2024 in New York City.
Major Brigadier Awad Al Awaim, Assistant General Director of Human Resources and Finance at GDRFA Dubai, highlighted the Directorate’s focus on building a solid foundation and creating an innovative work environment through modern scientific approaches. He emphasized that GDRFA’s success is attributed to its commitment to innovation, leading to the development of national talent and a culture of continuous improvement.
The awarded project emphasizes organisational agility and integrated talent management, aiming to balance organisational efficiency with strategic workforce planning. The Directorate’s innovative model centers on managing organisational structures, leveraging scientific principles, and integrating foresight and analysis for better workforce management.
The award was received by Aisha Saeed Al Mazrouei, Head of the Career Needs and Emiratization Department, and Maryam Mohammed Al Badawi, Head of the Organisational Structures Department, during a ceremony attended by leaders from prominent global organisations in human resources.
The model introduced by GDRFA integrates scientific disciplines and principles, promoting interdependence, future foresight, leadership, and competitive positioning—establishing GDRFA Dubai as a leader in organisational development and talent management.
