Fujairah: Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, has stated that the Fujairah Census 2023 project is a vital aspect of the strategic plans of the Fujairah Government. The project is intended to achieve future objectives as well as support development plans that benefit individuals and the community across all sectors.
The Crown Prince emphasized the importance of the project, as it will play a crucial role in developing strategic policies that serve all vital sectors in the emirate, ensuring its prosperity and growth, in line with the UAE’s comprehensive development vision and ambitious future directions.
Sheikh Mohammed Al Sharqi expressed his gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, UAE Federal Supreme Council Member, and Ruler of Fujairah, for his immense support for the project.

This project is an integral part of the Fujairah Government’s approach and development plan, which includes planning, setting policies, and measuring growth and demographics in the emirate. The outputs of the project will directly contribute to improving the lives of individuals, supporting government institutions in the decision-making process, and fulfilling the vision of the Emirate of Fujairah and its sustainable development plans.

To ensure that the project reaches its comprehensive goals and provides the best results, the Crown Prince stressed the importance of cooperation from all individuals and segments of the community, including citizens, residents, and companies. They should provide accurate information to census delegates and field researchers.
The first phase of census data collection will begin in May 2023, implemented by the Fujairah Statistics Centre, utilizing advanced technologies and international best practices. The second phase, which includes population enumeration, is set to begin in the first quarter of 2024. Field workers’ teams will visit all regions around the emirate, including buildings, residences, households, and facilities, in both phases of the project.
