Abu Dhabi: The Formula 4 Powerboat Championship has drawn significant regional and international interest as the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club (ADMSC), organized the second round of the competition on the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The championship, which is part of the UAE’s expanding marine sports calendar, has brought together participants from the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sudan, Italy and Norway. With more than ten boats lining up for practice, qualifying sessions and final races, the event continues to demonstrate the country’s ability to host high-level sporting competitions.
The club has stated that preparations have been carried out according to international standards, using advanced tracking, safety and officiating systems to ensure the Formula 4 Powerboat Championship meets global requirements.
The two-day format has given competitors the opportunity to refine their performance in practice sessions before competing in the main race and the awarding ceremony. Organizers noted that this structure helps improve athlete performance and enhances the spectator experience by showcasing fast-paced, world-class racing.

Thani Al Qemzi, Executive Director of Team Abu Dhabi and Modern Marine Sports, stated that launching this round reinforces Abu Dhabi’s role as a global center for powerboat racing. Al Qemzi noted that the championship highlights the UAE’s capability to lead the marine sports scene both regionally and internationally.
