Dubai: Indian Union Minister for Textiles, Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Mr. Piyush Goyal unveiled a vibrant Indian Pavilion to the visitors of Expo 2020 Dubai amid a spectacular inaugural ceremony.
The Indian Pavilion, the largest at the Expo 2020 will offer visitors a glimpse of Indian innovations and successes in the fields of Aerospace, Robotics, Electric Mobility, Healthcare, Edu-tech, e-Commerce, Energy, Cybersecurity, Cryptocurrency and Blockchain.
“Dubai authorities gave us a strategic location and one of the largest land plots. PM Modi personally gave us ideas and guidance on how to make India pavilion one of the best,“ Mr. Goyal observed in his official statement released prior to the inauguration.
The largest global gathering in the world since the dawn of COVID-19, Expo 2020 Dubai offers an important platform for India to showcase its diverse culture and immense avenues of growth in the next 182 days.
The Indian Pavilion houses a dynamic façade made of 600 individual colorful blocks which will in unison, display varied themes as they rotate on their axis. The unique structural feature reportedly represents the theme of ‘India on the move’ and is a unique amalgam of the rich heritage and technological advances of the nation.
Fifteen Indian states and Nine Central Ministries of the Indian Government will use the pavilion over the next 6 months to showcase their culture, food and business opportunities.
Expo 2020 Dubai will also witness significant representation of India’s corporate world through the likes of Reliance Industries, Tata Group, Adani Group, Vedanta, Hinduja Group and L&T to name a few.
The Indian participation at the mega global event is expected to showcase the South-Asian country as a ideal place for investment while participating in the immense growth potential the country inherits.
