DUBAI: Emirates will begin operating its newly retrofitted Boeing 777s in Zurich and Riyadh starting October 1, 2024. The airline revealed in a statement that it will also introduce refurbished B777s to Geneva and Brussels, making these the first cities in its network to have updated B777 cabins on all routes.
From October 1st, Emirates will operate its retrofitted Boeing 777 on flights EK 85 and EK 86 in Zurich. Additionally, starting October 1st, the upgraded Boeing 777 will debut on flights EK 819 and EK 820 to Riyadh, marking the introduction of Premium Economy class in the Middle East and GCC region.
Geneva will be the first city in Emirates’ network to offer Premium Economy seats and newly remodeled Business Class cabins on all flights starting September 22, 2024, with the arrival of the modified B777 on flights EK 89 and EK 90.
Emirates will also operate a second modified B777 to Brussels on flights EK 181 and EK 182 six times a week starting October 9, 2024. By the end of the year, the airline plans to offer Premium Economy service to 28 cities. So far, 25 aircraft have been upgraded, with an additional 17 expected to receive updates by December 2024.
Passengers traveling in the new Emirates 777 Business Class can expect spacious seats, increased privacy, and the comfort of a fully flat bed that reclines 180 degrees. Each 20.7-inch-wide leather seat features a personal mini-bar, a wooden table for dining or working, multiple charging outlets, and new seat controls, with the middle seat removed for added convenience.
