Dubai: Government-backed health services authority, the Emirates Health Services (EHS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) to have decided to work together and set formal frameworks for cooperation in the fields of research, policies, health training, and professional development, in a participatory framework that enhances the work environment.
The Medical Services Sector at EHS and MBRSG signed the agreement to formalize the collaboration at an event which witnessed the participation of Dr. Essam Al Zarouni, Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector, EHS, Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President, MBRSG, and Dr. Noor Al Mheiri, Director, Mental Health Department, EHS, along with representatives from other EHS departments.
The deal will facilitate joint health research activities, information and data exchange, health policies validation, and capacity building to consistently offer healthcare services based on innovation and evidence-based practice.
With the agreement in place, the two organizations will strive to enable the flow of knowledge and facilitate research through cooperation and information exchange, access to databases, and to find ways of cooperation in terms of developing health service policies, in line with their goals and aspirations.
The agreement also provides for research, development, and provision of high-quality executive education courses on management of public policy and governance, including policy assessment, particularly health policy, monitoring of results and evidence integration, as well as educational opportunities to include the institution’s staff in academic programs.
