Abu Dhabi: The Union Association for Human Rights (UAHR) has launched its inaugural quarterly magazine, Emirates for Human Rights, in Arabic and English.
The publication is designed to create awareness of human rights, address contemporary issues, and serve as a collaborative platform for experts and international specialists.
The magazine aspires to extend its reach beyond the UAE, promoting a global dialogue on human rights. By fostering an exchange of expertise and ideas, it aims to strengthen human rights advocacy on both local and international levels. The first edition showcases the UAE’s humanitarian journey since the formation of the Union. It highlights the Document on Human Fraternity and the nation’s message of peace.
A dedicated section explores the UAE’s progressive leadership in global initiatives, particularly in climate action, tracing its roots back to the visionary legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Additionally, the issue celebrates the remarkable contributions of HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation. Her leadership in advancing women’s rights and empowerment, as Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, is prominently featured.
The magazine delves into the UAE’s efforts to champion human rights, detailing UAHR’s participation in sessions of the United Nations Human Rights Council. The first edition also marks the association’s achievements in its inaugural year.
In the opening editorial, Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al Kaabi, President of UAHR and Editor-in-Chief, emphasized its mission to enhance societal understanding of fundamental rights and freedoms, while spotlighting national and international accomplishments in human rights advocacy.
Dr. Al Kaabi reiterated UAHR’s dedication to producing insightful, objective content that reflects the UAE’s success in advancing human rights.
