Dubai: Emirates, in collaboration with Dubai’s Museum of the Future, is set to host the inaugural Aviation Future Week, a groundbreaking event focused on the future of the aviation industry. The 3 day long event will be taking place from 15-17 October 2024 in Dubai, will bring together global industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore emerging trends, technologies, and challenges facing the sector.
UAE ministers, senior government officials, and industry leaders from aviation, aerospace, airfreight, MRO, and logistics sectors will gather in Dubai for the inaugural Aviation Future Week. The event will serve as a platform for in-depth discussions on the passenger experience, future traffic demand, and advancements in airfreight and logistics. It will also explore cutting-edge developments in AI and XR technologies shaping the industry.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group said that, “It is fitting that Dubai is setting the stage for visionary global leaders and decision makers in aviation and aerospace to gather for key discussions and powerful collaborations to help redefine what the future could look like for the industry at Aviation Future Week.”
Aviation Future Week will span three days of keynotes, panels, and workshops. Day one will feature industry experts discussing air travel demand, airport infrastructure, and how technology can enhance the passenger experience.
Day two will focus on advancements in airfreight, logistics, and regional MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) development.
The final day will explore the transformative potential of Web3, AI, and XR technologies in improving workflow and service delivery, as well as strategies to upskill the aviation workforce to adapt to these innovations.
Alongside the main program, Aviation Future Week will feature an extensive exhibition showcasing the latest aviation technologies, allowing visitors to explore new products and network with industry experts. Interactive workshops, led by Emirates and the Museum of the Future, will be supported by Emirates CX teams, dnata, Emirates SkyCargo, Boeing, and the Emirates Group Youth Council. These sessions will focus on innovation across various sectors, including flight operations and environmental initiatives.
As the aviation sector looks to recover from the pandemic’s impact, Aviation Future Week is set to play a critical role in shaping the future direction of the industry.
