Abu Dhabi: e& UAE, the telecommunications division of e&, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) at GITEX Global 2024. This association aims to improve the connectivity of healthcare facilities through the Sahatna app, an integrated mobile platform developed to empower residents in managing their health.
The signing ceremony took place in the sight of Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Under-Secretary of DoH. The MoU was performed by Ibrahim Al Jallaf, Executive Director of Digital Health at DoH, and Haitham Abdulrazzak, Chief Business Officer of e& UAE.
e& UAE is set to strengthen the Sahatna application with its SD-WAN technology solution, allowing seamless connectivity between healthcare facilities throughout Abu Dhabi. This advanced technology will encourage improved information exchange among facilities and patients, assuring a smoother healthcare experience for users.
Sahatna offers a user-friendly interface for accessing a diverse range of health and wellness services, including appointment bookings, teleconsultations, and access to health records, along with personalized wellness and lifestyle genomic reports.
Ibrahim Al Jallaf emphasized the significance of such innovations, stating that, “With the continued support of the UAE’s wise leadership and the dedication of our valued partners, we resume to establish a robust digital healthcare infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. The Sahatna app combines our healthcare ecosystem to improve access, elevate care quality, and deliver personalized health services for everyone.
