Dubai: In line with its ambitions to collaborate with international partners, the Dubai Traffic Police Department recently engaged with a delegation from the Sweden Consulate in Dubai.
The Dubai Police authorities received the delegation and conversed on several opportunities of association with an aim to exchange experiences and information which are mutually beneficial.
The Sweden Consulate Delegation, led by Senior Representative of the Consulate, Mr. Andy Hedberg was welcomed by Colonel Mohammed Ali Karam, Director of Traffic Technologies Department at the Dubai Police.
The meeting was also attended by all directors of the traffic police sub-departments.
Speaking on the occasion, Col. Karam briefed the Swedish delegation on the tasks and duties carried out by the General Traffic Department in maintaining road security, reducing traffic accidents and deaths, as well as enforcing traffic laws and regulations.
The delegation was also made aware of Dubai Police’s role in maintaining safety and security, along with an introduction to the latest technologies which department uses to fulfil this role.
Concluding their visit, Mr. Andy Hedberg from the Sweden Consulate and the accompanying delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and commended the tireless efforts taken by the Dubai Police Department towards ensuring the safety and security of community.
