Dubai will host the 10th World Free Zones Organisation (World FZO) World Congress from 23-25 September at Madinat Jumeirah under the theme ‘Zones and the Shifting Global Economic Structures.’ The event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, marks the 10th anniversary of World FZO and its second consecutive year in Dubai.
The congress will gather representatives from economic zones worldwide, highlighting their role in global trade, which accounts for over a third of global flows. Key topics will include supporting national economies, driving the digital economy, and attracting foreign investments.
Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Chairman of World FZO, stated that the event reflects Dubai’s commitment to advancing economic zones, aligning with its goals to double foreign trade to AED 25 trillion and establish new trade corridors by 2033.
The congress is expected to attract over 2,000 global leaders, investors, and experts. Discussions will focus on modern sectors like AI and advanced technology, promoting sustainable economic development and global cooperation.
Since its inception, the World FZO has focused on strengthening its membership base and providing diverse, high-quality services. The Organization fosters dialogue and cooperation among all stakeholders to promote growth and prosperity through the free zone model.
