Dubai: Dubai is preparing to host the sixth edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025, scheduled to take place from February 1 to 5 at the Al Ruwayyah Training City.
Organized by Dubai Police, the international event will bring together elite police teams from across the globe to compete in five intense tactical challenges designed to test skill, strategy, and strength.
The competition has gained increasing global recognition since its inception, drawing rapid response units and tactical teams to showcase their expertise.
This year’s edition has already registered 93 teams representing various police departments from worldwide, with additional registrations expected.
An event for Tactical Excellence
Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, highlighted the UAE SWAT Challenge’s growth into the world’s largest event for special units.
Teams from Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas will participate, reflecting the competition’s growing inclusivity, which now features both male and female teams locally and internationally.
Lt. Gen. Al Marri credited the event’s success to the steadfast support of Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
Al Marri noted that, this support has elevated the competition’s global reputation and demonstrated Dubai’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in policing.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri also highlighted Dubai Police’s dedication to ensuring the event reflects the city’s standing as a premier destination for international events. Rigorous Challenges
This year’s competition includes five specialized events: the Tactical Operations Challenge, Assault Challenge, Officer Rescue Competition, High Tower Challenge, and Obstacle Course. These challenges demand exceptional teamwork, strategic planning, and physical skill as teams compete to earn daily points and podium finishes.
