Dubai: The Dubai Police will host the second edition of the World Police Summit (WPS) at the Dubai World Trade Centre from March 7 to 9, 2023.

The WPS will provide a platform to discuss the crucial challenges faced by the police forces as well as the latest technological advancements, strategies, and innovations across the law enforcement as well as security spectrums.

According to Major General Dr. Abdul Qudous Abdul Razzaq Al-Obaidli, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Excellence and Pioneering Affairs at Dubai Police, the WPS 2023 will be a golden opportunity for developing worldwide police as well as security work systems, ensuring all stakeholders are familiar with various changes and capable of utilising the latest innovative technologies. This will eventually enhance ways to combat crimes locally and internationally as well as contribute to the development of police human cadres.

With more than 250 exhibiting companies, the summit will further provide insight into the most prominent policing tools and technologies used around the world while also facilitating a world-class environment for trade across the industry’s full value chain. Participating companies already registered include Rafael, Dell, IDEMIA, Beacon Red, Cisco and Canon.

The WPS is expected to include sessions that will define the future of global policing by addressing the key challenges faced by police and law enforcement agencies, as well as providing the thought leadership, direction, and strategies required to enhance public safety.

The three-day summit of 2023 will hold six conferences covering the most innovative policing techniques, from crime prevention, anti-narcotics, and forensic science to drones and K9. The conference will bring together experts from around the world and channel insights from more than 230 leading speakers. The sessions aim to strengthen global policing, create a global policing community able to meet the future with confidence, share best practices, and showcase policing techniques at the cutting edge.

About World Police Summit

The World Police Summit is the world’s leading conversation for police and security experts, an inspiring opportunity to explore, discover and share the latest developments in promoting better policing.

The first WPS took place in March 2022 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre during the Dubai Expo 2020. The summit was established by the Government of Dubai in collaboration with the Dubai Police.

The event is assisted by INTERPOL, EUROPOL, Global Road Safety Partnership, as well as the IACP. The WPS provides a platform for the international police community to get crime information, market statistics, technical solutions, and services to improve security as well as safety requirements across the world.

Further, the conference is co-located with the UAE SWAT Challenge international edition, the International Association of Chiefs of Police Meeting, the INTERPOL Young Global Police Leaders Program, and the Police Academy Graduation.
