Dubai: Dubai will host the 22nd edition of the Airport Show from 9th to 11th May 2023 where key global airport industry players will demonstrate their energised enthusiasm at the trend-setting event, which will include three exhibitions and two conferences over three days.
The 22nd edition of the world’s largest annual airport industry B2B platform will connect over 200-plus aviation brands and 100-plus buyers from over 30 airports and aviation authorities from 20 countries and will be held under the continued patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.
Sheikh Ahmed emphasized that the airport industry has nearly recovered to full strength, and that new airport construction and expansion are underway to meet future needs. Global domestic passenger traffic is expected to recover to 2019 levels by late 2023, with international passenger traffic recovering to 2019 levels by H2 2024. Officials anticipate that the passenger business will generate $522 billion in revenue for carriers and airports, allowing them to return to profitability and experience fewer disruptions.
The Airport Show will also feature industry-specific exhibitions and conferences such as the Global Airport Leaders’ Forum, Air Traffic Control Forum, Airport Security Middle East, and the Women in Aviation Anniversary. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Women in Aviation Middle East Chapter, which will have two days at the show, one for a conference and the other for workshops and round-table discussions.
This year’s B2B show will demonstrate to the world the airport industry’s rediscovered pulse and enthusiasm for resuming healthy growth in the coming years.
