DUBAI: The UAE is set to celebrate Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a grand event in Dubai on August 11. The event will be attended by diplomats and prominent members of the Pakistani community.
The attendees include Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE.
Organized by the “Emirates Loves Pakistan” page in partnership with Dubai Police, Pakistan Association Dubai, and Dubai World Trade Centre, the event celebrates the ongoing friendship and deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Pakistan.
The ceremony, which will take place at the Dubai World Trade Center, is expected to draw around 10,000 attendees and will feature an exciting schedule of musical acts, cultural exhibitions, and traditional events that highlight the Pakistani community’s rich history and contributions to the growth of the United Arab Emirates.
The celebration reflects the UAE’s commitment to fostering International relationships, promoting tolerance, and creating a harmonious environment where different cultures coexist peacefully. Since the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s founding father, established the country’s foundation in 1971, the UAE and Pakistan have enjoyed a close and lasting friendship. Currently, these ties are stronger than ever, guided by strategic partnerships and expanding economic cooperation.
The UAE is Pakistan’s largest investor and top trading partner, having recently committed $10 billion to the country’s most promising economic sectors.
