Dubai: Dubai Press Club (DPC) has announced the upcoming eighth edition of the Emirati Media Forum (EMF) on April 10th. The event will be held at the Dubai Press Club, situated in One Central at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the patronage and presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.
The Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, Mr. Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, and an advisory board member of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) will be part of a panel discussion highlighting the significance of utilizing cutting-edge technologies to expedite the advancement of the UAE media. The conversation will delve into the effects of technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the metaverse on the media sector, and the ways in which it can capitalize on emerging prospects to propel its growth in the forthcoming phase.
According to Ms. Mona Al Marri, the President of the Dubai Press Club, the Emirati Media Forum presents a platform for diverse local media entities and notable industry leaders to convene and explore methods of expediting the media industry’s progress. They will also discuss ways to enhance the industry’s competitiveness in alignment with the UAE’s visionary objectives for the future. Ms. Al Marri added that the Forum will scrutinize the media’s vital role as a significant contributor to the UAE’s journey of development and its capacity to showcase positive advancements and achievements across various domains.
