Dubai: Dubai Municipality’s popular community initiative, Souq Al Freej, has returned for its third season at Al Warqa Park 3 starting, December 13. This annual event serves as a medium for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Emirati entrepreneurs, and productive families, delivering a unique space to showcase and sell locally made products.
The initiative encourages local craftsmanship and fosters healthy competition, encouraging entrepreneurs to offer high-quality products at competitive prices. It aligns with Dubai’s broader goal of improving residents’ quality of life while raising confidence in homegrown products.
Ahmed Al Zarooni, Director of Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality stated that, “Souq Al Freej adds a distinctive charm to Dubai’s winter calendar, providing an integrated space for local production and reinforcing the economy’s foundation with SME participation.”
The first phase of Souq Al Freej will run until December 29, before relocating to Al Barsha 3 Pond Park from January 3 to 19, 2025. Visitors can expect 30 stalls showcasing home-based businesses, 10 food and beverage vendors, and a vibrant mix of entertainment, workshops, and family-friendly activities.
Operating daily from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM, the market offers an excellent blend of entertainment and relaxation, embracing Dubai’s mild winter weather.
