Dubai: The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), in partnership with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), has introduced the “Ajyal” program, focusing on developing religious awareness among school students in Dubai.
This initiative is part of the broader “Gharas Al-Khayr” project, which focuses on building bridges of awareness within the educational community.
Set to run throughout the academic year, the Ajyal program seeks to create an innovative background that promotes effective communication and cooperation between students, parents, and educational bodies. The program consists of interactive lectures, dialogue sessions, and educational workshops led by qualified speakers and specialists, with a focus on improving both awareness and communication skills.
In his remarks, Ahmed Darwish Al-Mehairi, Director-General of IACAD, remarked on the significance of the program in achieving the department’s broader vision.
Ahmed Darwish Al-Mehairi stated that, “The launch of the Ajyal program plays a crucial step toward developing a collaborative environment for students, parents, and educational bodies, utilizing the department’s resources to meet our shared goals. This initiative is a testament to the institutional collaboration between entities in Dubai.”
Aisha Abdullah Miran, Director-General of KHDA, made this sentiment clear, praising the venture that, “We greatly appreciate the Ajyal program, which is the result of ongoing efforts by our colleagues at IACAD to highlight awareness among the emerging generations on key social issues and to foster positive interaction platforms.”
The Ajyal program stands as a key example of Dubai’s commitment to educational and social development, withstanding the importance of mutual understanding and dialogue in creating a well-rounded educational experience for the city’s youth.
