Dubai: Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Head of the Dubai Media Council inaugurated the Dubai Boat Show Dubai Harbour.
A number of dignitaries accompanied Sheikh Ahmed as he viewed the exhibition. Mr. Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, and Mr. Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Commerce and Tourism and Dubai World Trade Centre Authority, were present.
Sheikh Ahmed learned about the Marine Craft Smart Inspection Project while touring the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Company pavilion during his visit. The project enables customers to check and inspect their marine vessels online, allowing Dubai Maritime City Authority inspectors to assess the vessels without the customer having to transport them to the Authority’s facility. To assure customer safety while using the marine boat, important components are photographed and evaluated for conformity with safety and security standards through virtual contact between the client and inspector.
Moreover, Sheikh Ahmed stopped by the booths of Gulfcraft and Dubai Police to see the much-awaited Majesty 111, which is being unveiled at the Dubai International Boat Show. Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed also paid a visit to the Al Rayyan Marine booth.
