Dubai: The Turkiye Tourism Forum 2024, organized by the Turkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), has launched the “Welcome to Turkiye” initiative in Dubai. The forum strived to intensify tourism ties and showcase Turkiye’s various attractions to the UAE market.
Key industry performers from both nations attended, including delegates from major tourism, travel, and aviation companies like Dnata. Notable figures such as Onur Saylan, Consul-General of Turkiye in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Saleh Ozar, Turkish Cultural Attaché, and Kanat Kutluk, President of the Turkish Business Council, were also present.
Ozan Ortac, Director of External Relations at TGA, presented new Turkish tourist goals, including historical sites and ski resorts, emphasizing Turkiye’s growing interest in the UAE market. Ozan Ortac highlighted Turkiye’s rich cultural heritage and adventure tourism offerings.
Turkish Airlines revealed its extensive global network, now covering 345 destinations in 130 countries. The airline serves 38 weekly flights between Turkiye and the UAE, with 28 flights to Dubai and 10 to Abu Dhabi.
The forum featured sessions and workshops tailored to the UAE market, encouraging sustainable eco-tourism. Conferences concentrated on expanding tourist flights and heightening cooperation in the tourism sector between the two countries.
“Welcome to Turkiye” initiative signifies Turkiye’s commitment to improving tourism collaboration with the UAE and strengthening its position as a top goal for Emirati travelers.
