Participation in DFC has seen a tremendous increase since its launch in 2017. Last year alone, 2.4 million people joined the challenge, marking an 8.7 percent rise from the previous year. This growth reflects Dubai’s rising dedication to health, highlighted by a collaborative effort across private, public, and government sectors. His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of DSC, praised the expanding involvement stating that, “DFC has evolved to become a movement that brings together individuals, families, organizations, and institutions, highlighting its importance to Dubai’s broader vision for community wellness.”
Beyond fitness, DFC celebrates community partnerships, with new activations from companies like Sun & Sand Sports, Emirates NBD, and talabat counting to the vibrant fitness landscape. DP World’s Kite Beach Fitness Village and Zabeel Park’s interactive stations offer activities for all ages and abilities, transforming these spaces into fitness hubs.
Jean Daniel Boitel, Sports Director of Azadea highlighted their involvement, stating that, “Our free bike repairs and presence at the Fitness Village empower residents to explore fitness with ease and enthusiasm.” DFC 2024 runs until November 24. Registrations are open, inviting everyone to be part of one of the world’s largest fitness activities and Dubai’s journey towards a healthier future.
