Dubai: The 6^th Edition of Dubai Smartpreneur Competition by Dubai Chamber of Commerce has revealed the Top 3 winners of the award at the closing ceremony of the Enterprise Agility Forum 2022 held at Expo 2020 Dubai site.

THE WINNERS

The 1^st Prize of the Competition went to Eduployment Portals, a global online recruitment platform designed to help blue-collar workers develop English language skills.

While, Diwama, an AI-based image recognition software that automates waste analysis and drives recycling revenues for waste management companies bagged the 2^nd Prize, Soul Artists, a global online peer-to-peer platform for discovering and booking performing artists and musicians for events and occasions came 3^rd at the Competition.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Faisal Belhoul, Board Member of Dubai Chambers observed that the latest edition of the competition focused on identifying novel technology solutions in the fields of Trade, Opportunity, and Sustainability. The Dubai Chambers Board Member further added that the UAE accounted for 71 percent of submissions in the 6^th cycle, followed by South Asia (10 percent), the Middle East (7 percent) and Africa (4 percent).

DUBAI SMARTPRENEUR COMPETITION

An annual affair organized under Dubai Startup Hub, the Dubai Smartpreneur Competition strives to support talented founders, incubator innovative technology concepts, and promote entrepreneurship in the Emirate.

THE JUGEMENT

30 Submissions were initially shortlisted before the final round. Later, a lot of ten finalists which included the likes of Hamples, Manhat, Hydro Wind Energy, PalletPal, One Moto, AIOTIZE Pvt Ltd and Digital Energy, made their all-important pitches to an expert panel which included;

• Tomaso Rodriguez, CEO of Talabat
• Mona Ataya, CEO of Mumzworld
• Talal Bayaa, CEO of Bayzat and
• Raja Al Mazrouei, Executive Vice President of FinTech Hive at DIFC.
