Abu Dhabi: The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has launched the Plan Capital Survey, themed “Shaping Tomorrow Together,” to help make our city more liveable, competitive, and vibrant.
To determine the future of the emirate, this unique effort aims to collect insightful opinions and ideas from a cross-section of Abu Dhabi’s society, including citizens, residents, and enterprises.
HE Hamad Al Mutawa, Executive Director of Planning and Infrastructure Sector at the DMT, remarked that, “In the heart of every great city lies the collective dreams and aspirations of its people. The Plan Capital Survey embodies our commitment to nurturing these visions, shaping a future Abu Dhabi that reflects the hopes, needs, and ingenuity of every individual and organisation within our vibrant community.
“Through this collective endeavour, we strive to shape a future that not only meets the needs and aspirations of every segment within our society, but also sets new standards of excellence on the global stage. The survey reflects our commitment to creating a capital that is truly for the people, by the people, and for Abu Dhabi,” Al Mutawa added.
DMT is extending an invitation to the public to participate in the development of Abu Dhabi by offering thoughts on a range of urban living topics, from destination and local area improvements to upcoming projects. This four-minute survey is available to all societal groups, regardless of background, occupation, or level of education.
It is open until Friday, May 31, 2024, and provides plenty of time for people to share their opinions. It is recommended for participants to discuss what makes Abu Dhabi unique, potential areas for development, and their goals for the future of the emirate.
The recently released poll is directed by the ideas of resilience, long-term sustainability, and community involvement, guaranteeing future generations of progressive prosperity.
