Dubai: The Dubai Judicial Institute (DJI) has shown its commitment to becoming a leader in the dissemination of judicial knowledge and the advancement of legal thinking by initiating the specialized “Future Research Competition” focused on scientific publishing.
It aims to foster a culture of excellence and innovation in the legal field, particularly in areas related to modern technologies. Through the use of scientific and methodological approaches, the “Future Research Competition” invites legal professionals and academics to participate in envisioning the future of the legal and judicial sector. The competition is designed to encourage engagement and collaboration among participants in this important task.
The “Future Research Competition” is in line with the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, who places great emphasis on the need for clear vision, planning, action, and implementation in creating a prosperous future. With its modern infrastructure and sound legislative framework, Dubai is well-positioned to serve as a global hub for shaping the future of the region and the world. Dubai’s longstanding commitment to innovation and progress makes this a natural next step in its ongoing efforts to lead the way in groundbreaking advancements.

The Competition is divided into two categories. The first category is focused on books that will be incorporated into the research and studies series. The second category centres around scientific research that will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.
It will concentrate on legal and judicial applications in several areas, including metaverse, data and privacy, development of energy and new substances technologies, environmental systems management, and the economy, with a specific focus on independent business and family companies.
Those who are interested in participating in the “Future Research Competition,” including legal professionals, academics, and workers in related fields, are invited to submit their projects and files by the deadline of October 31st, 2023. An expert panel will review all submissions to assess and choose the winning entries in each category. Cash prizes have been designated for the top three winners in both the book and scientific research categories. The winning works will be published in both print and electronic formats and will be made available through all of DJI’s publishing channels.
