Dubai: State-owned utility service provider, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is all set to organize its highly anticipated events, Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show (DSS) in September.
Both WETEX and DSS 2022 are currently scheduled to be hosted at Dubai’s World Trade Centre from 27th of September to the 29th.
Speaking about DEWA’s highlight events, HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX and DSS, highlighted that the wise leadership’s directives in the UAE have enabled Dubai to efficiently handle the repercussions of global developments over the past two years. This has enhanced the Emirate’s position as a preferred destination for international entities, and a key hub for hosting any kind of event.
The DEWA MD & CEO further added that, “WETEX and DSS consolidate Dubai’s position as a global platform and a role model for providing the latest technologies for water, energy, and the environment. It also promotes the Emirate’s position as a global hub for clean energy and a green economy. Moreover, the exhibition supports DEWA’s efforts to achieve the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050 to provide 100% of Dubai’s total power capacity from clean energy sources by 2050.”
Sharing his comments about the upcoming events, Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA, and Chairperson of the Sales, Logistics and Sponsorships Committee for WETEX and DSS, stated that, “WETEX and DSS is an important opportunity for exhibitors to promote their products, services and innovative technologies, and meet decision-makers and investors from around the world to make deals, build partnerships, review the latest technologies in these sectors, learn about current and future projects and market needs, and explore opportunities to take part in solar-energy projects and programs in the region. On the sidelines of WETEX and DSS, DEWA organizes a set of seminars and panel discussions with the participation of international experts and specialists to learn about the best solutions and practices for environmental challenges as well as exchange ideas and expertise.”
