Dubai: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received the ‘Organization of the Year for Youth Empowerment in the Public & Government Sector’ award at the GCC GOV HR and Youth Empowerment Summit & Awards 2025.
The recognition highlights DEWA’s commitment to nurturing young Emirati talent and fostering leadership in innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, stated that the organization has remained dedicated to providing opportunities that help youth gain advanced skills in fields such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, and digital transformation.
Al Tayer noted that DEWA’s youth continue to play a vital role in advancing innovation, driving climate action, and supporting Dubai’s and the UAE’s vision of achieving net zero goals. Al Tayer emphasized that the award reflects DEWA’s continuous investment in youth empowerment programs that encourage leadership, creativity, and community engagement.

DEWA’s Youth Council has been instrumental in creating platforms for young professionals to engage in decision-making processes and contribute to the Authority’s development goals. The council organizes training, mentorship, and innovation programs aimed at preparing Emirati youth for leadership positions and strengthening their contributions to a sustainable future.
