Dubai: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced its sponsorship of the DEWA Mind Empowerment initiative, launched by the Dubai Club for People of Determination.
The initiative aims to support the empowerment of individuals with different disabilities through specialized training and rehabilitation programs focused on digital and technological skills.
As part of the initiative, a smart room has been set up at the club’s headquarters. Equipped with advanced computer and artificial intelligence technologies, the facility provides participants with the opportunity to acquire digital competencies that enhance their independence and enable them to integrate more effectively into society.
The training also supports participants in preparing for the digital job market by developing key skills that align with Dubai’s broader vision for innovation and inclusion.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, stated that supporting this initiative reflects DEWA’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and the empowerment of People of Determination. He noted that the authority works to enhance their quality of life, provide equal opportunities, and encourage them to take part in development and nation-building.
Al Tayer added that DEWA continues to collaborate with partners to introduce the latest technologies and practices that strengthen inclusion and creativity among People of Determination. Through such partnerships, the authority seeks to create a barrier-free society that enables every individual to contribute productively and confidently.
