Abu Dhabi: Marking the highly successful thirty years of bilateral relations between the UAE and Lithuania, Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) is collaborating with the Embassy of Lithuania to fortify cultural cooperation through collective programs and initiatives.
On the marvelous occasion, DCT Abu Dhabi hosted a delegation from the Lithuanian Embassy, which included Mr. Jurate Ramoskiene, Charge D’affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, and Prof. Dr. Renaldas Gudauskas, Director-General of the National Library.
Mr. Saeed Al Fazari, Executive Director for Support Services Sector at DCT Abu Dhabi, and Shaikha Mohamed Almehairi, Library Management Department Director at DCT Abu Dhabi, received the Lithuanian delegation at the venue.
The Lithuanian Delegation was taken through the public library at Qasr Al Hosn and the Children’s Library at the Cultural Foundation where they were briefed on the books, manuscripts and services on offer.
Members of the Lithuanian Delegation were also updated on the cultural and reading programs, initiatives and events that are available to all sections of the community.
During the tour, the Lithuanian representatives expressed their delight in learning about various cultural activities organized by DCT Abu Dhabi, and commended its efforts in imparting the culture of reading across various sections of society.
As a token of the occasion, DCT Abu Dhabi Team gifted a collection of books about several aspects of Emirati culture and heritage, including Emirati art and falconry to the Lithuanian Delegation.
