Dubai: The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has taken a significant step towards advancing its operations by signing two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with prominent entities in Dubai. The signing ceremony, graced by the esteemed presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of DCAA, Dubai Airports, and Emirates Airline and Group, marked a momentous occasion for the aviation sector in the region.
The first MoU focused on establishing an integrated link between the DCAA and the Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC). Similarly, the second MoU was signed between the DCAA and the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, also serving the purpose of fostering an integrated connection.
By utilizing this technology, the DCAA aims to expedite commercial licensing transactions at Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai Airport Freezone, ensuring immediate approvals. Furthermore, these collaborative efforts aim to enhance institutional information and data management cooperation, fostering systematic integration and streamlining processes.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum expressed his thoughts on the occasion, stating, “This MoU is a strategic milestone in reshaping Dubai’s aviation industry and consolidates the emirate’s position as a global leader in digital transformation in the aviation industry. The signed MoUs outline key objectives that include the implementation of Dubai’s paperless strategy through advanced technologies, establishing an integrated system for paperless governmental operations, and ensuring secure data exchange among entities.
The first MoU was signed by Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Ahli, Director-General of the DCAA, and Mr. Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South. The second MoU was signed by Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Ahli and Dr. Mohammed Alzarooni, Executive Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority. The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of senior executives from all participating entities.
