Dubai: The 45th edition of Big 5 Global, the largest construction event in the MEASA (Middle East, Africa, and South Asia) region, is set to open on 26 November 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Running until 29 November, the event is expected to attract over 100,000 attendees, with 2,700 exhibitors from over 60 countries.
The event will serve as a platform for industry professionals to explore innovations, network, and witness firsthand how the construction and urban development sectors are evolving.
Technological Advancements
As the global construction industry embraces digital transformation, Big 5 Global 2024 will feature its largest-ever representation of construction technology.
Major players like Autodesk, Trimble, Oracle, and Premier Construction Software will showcase solutions focused on enhancing efficiency, collaboration, and sustainable city planning.
From Building Information Modeling (BIM) to cloud-based management systems, the event will highlight how these technologies are reshaping construction processes globally, especially in the MEASA region.

At the Dubai Municipality Pavilion, visitors can explore sustainable construction practices, with Desert Board—a UAE-grown business—debuting its eco-friendly building materials.
Avenco Robotics and Generation 3D will offer live demonstrations of advanced 3D printing technologies that are revolutionizing construction methods and materials.

The Future Cities Showcase at LiveableCitiesX will spotlight innovative projects that are setting the pace for sustainable urban development.
Key participants include the Abu Dhabi Projects & Infrastructure Centre, which will unveil strategies for sustainable city-building, and DLR Group, which will share cutting-edge urban design concepts.
Knowledge Economic City will also present transformative developments in Saudi Arabia, while Egis will showcase integrated urban infrastructure solutions.
New Product launches
Big 5 Global 2024 will be a launchpad for several prominent companies unveiling new products and regional expansion plans. Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) will announce expansion projects, while Zamil Steel will reveal new initiatives focused on the Saudi Arabian market.
Mitsubishi Elevators will debut its 2025 line of elevator products, and Naffco will present its latest fire-resistant door models. Trimble will also demonstrate their lidar scanners and GNSS systems for enhanced project planning and management.
