Abu Dhabi: The International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC) and Khalifa University of Science and Technology have signed a partnership agreement at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX). The partnership will focus on scientific research and training, including robotics, intelligent systems, genetics, and genomics, in breeding projects. Abu Dhabi: Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has announced that 217 Hawksbill turtles have hatched at the company’s Al Taweelah beach this summer nesting season. Hawksbill turtles are critically endangered, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Each year, EGA’s Sustainability team and volunteers from across the company clear the beach of washed-up rubbish throughout the nesting season, monitor visiting turtles, and protect nests. Dubai: Emirates NBD has launched its Sustainable Finance Framework as part of its long-term commitment to sustainability. The new framework includes the issuance of green and sustainable debt instruments to finance projects that allow the transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy.  The framework provides for the distribution of social debt instruments that have a positive societal impact. Dubai: Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has announced the 2nd edition of the “Women Running Race,” from September 30 to November 11, 2023. Participants in the event will compete in three different distances, including 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km. Every participant will receive a unique medal made up of four individual pieces, with each piece featuring the logo of the specific zone where a stage of the Race occurs.
