Dubai: Arab Youth Centre has decided to partner with global specialist in energy management and automation, Schneider Electric to empower the next generation to lead the path toward a sustainable and digital future.
Leaders from both organizations made the deal official by signing a Memorandum of Understanding at Schneider Electric’s Innovation Summit Middle East & Africa. The Innovation Summit which took place early last week at the Coca-Cola Arena Dubai was organized under the theme “Digital, the Path to the Sustainable Future”.
As part of their association, Schneider Electric will become the newest member of the Arab Technology Fellowship for Arab Youth, the regional initiative enabling Arab youths to bridge the gap in skills utilized across various technology disciplines including ICT, digital transformation, innovation and interactive emerging technologies.
The French multinational will also associate with Arab Youth Council for Climate Change to engage with climate issues and support the next phase of people routing for environmental action ahead of COP27 taking place in Egypt and COP28 in the UAE.
This cooperation will have a major role in developing the next generation of Arab leaders, who will contribute to the region’s digital transformation and sustainable growth.
Ms. Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice-Chair of the Arab Youth Centre observed about the partnership.
The UAE Minister further added that, “With major events coming up in the region on climate change and technology advancements, the fundamental aim is for youth to be equipped and empowered to take positive steps towards change and enhance global efforts to achieve sustainability.”
The Middle East is among the youngest regions globally with half its population under the age of 25. Today, young men and women in the region are increasingly educated and becoming more conscious by the day about greening our planet.

Schneider Electric’s Executive VP added that, “The next generation can be the catalyst for change. By partnering with Arab Youth Centre, we can educate youths across the nation on climate action and make energy efficiency behavioral changes.”
Schneider Electric will dedicate a special “Youth Track” in all upcoming Innovation Summits in Arab capitals around the Middle East region in an effort to further demonstrate its dedication to developing youths in the UAE.
