Ras Al-Khaimah: Five individuals convicted of manslaughter in separate cases have been given a fresh start, thanks to the Ajr Charity Foundation in Ras Al Khaimah. The foundation paid Dh1.2 million in blood money on behalf of the convicts, a gesture made possible through donations from generous philanthropists.
Sheikh Arhama bin Saud bin Khalid Al Qasimi, the foundation’s chairman, expressed deep gratitude to the generous donors who supported the organization’s mission and charitable programs for inmates and their families. He emphasized that this act of compassion reflects the core values of tolerance and unity within Emirati society.
With the blood money paid, the convicts are now able to return home and reunite with their families. Sheikh Arhama also acknowledged the support of UAE leaders and highlighted the significant contributions of both citizens and expatriates in advancing charitable efforts across the nation.
