Ajman: Ajman Police have announced a 50 per cent discount on traffic fines, applicable to violations committed before October 31, 2024.
The discount is available from November 4 to December 15, 2024, and does not apply to serious violations and are only applicable for light vehicles and motorcycles.
This aims to ease the economic burdens of violators and help them pay off the accumulated traffic violations.
The decision has been taken following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the General Command of Ajman Police.
Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, stated that the reduction decision applies to all traffic violations committed in the Emirate of Ajman before October 31, 2024. Additionally, vehicle impoundments and recorded traffic points will be waived, except for serious violations.
This aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to improve road safety and is part of Ajman Police’s initiative to promote happiness among all clients while easing the financial burdens faced by citizens and residents of the emirate.
Severe violations exempt from discount decisions include endangering life or safety, overtaking in prohibited locations, exceeding speed limits, making vehicle changes without licenses, and running red lights.
Major General Al Nuaimi called on all vehicle owners to take advantage of the decision to pay off accumulated fines.
