Ajman: In collaboration with the Local Committee for Social Responsibility in Ajman and the National Fund for Social Responsibility (CSR UAE Fund), “MAJRA,” the Ajman Chamber organized an impactful lab entitled “Sustainable Partnerships: Private Sector Needs.”
Held at the Thara Entrepreneurship Center, the event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices and their role in fostering business growth, promoting sustainable development, improving quality of life, and preserving valuable resources.
The event was attended by notable figures including Nasser Al Dhafri, Chairman of the Local Committee for Social Responsibility in Ajman, Mona Saqr Al Matrooshi, Vice Chairman of the Local Committee, committee members, and business owners and officials from private sector establishments registered with the Ajman Chamber.

The lab kicked off with an introduction to the objectives and vision of the MAJRA Fund, along with the Local Committee’s efforts to educate the private sector on best CSR practices. The focus was on fostering business competitiveness, enhancing corporate reputations, and strengthening the trust between businesses and the community.
Throughout the event, attendees discussed the challenges, opportunities, and value propositions of CSR practices, exploring how to integrate these initiatives into corporate business strategies. The discussions covered various aspects of community-focused actions such as environmental responsibility, recycling, energy conservation, and carbon footprint reduction. Additionally, the role of CSR in advancing community development, education, health, philanthropy, and providing financial and in-kind contributions was highlighted. Ethical responsibilities such as justice, governance, and transparency within the workplace were also explored.
Several successful CSR initiatives were presented, illustrating the positive impact of community partnerships on enhancing quality of life and driving economic growth.

Nasser Al Dhafri expressed the importance of the event, stating that the lab played a critical role in enhancing the private sector’s understanding of CSR. Al Dhafri highlighted the Local Committee’s commitment to organizing initiatives aimed at fostering a CSR culture, encouraging innovation, and supporting sustainable development, all of which positively affect the local community and economy.
Dana Kamali, Head of the Business Sector at MAJRA, also shared her insights, emphasizing that through Impact Labs, MAJRA actively listens to stakeholders to identify challenges and create opportunities.
