Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Turf Club (ADTC) will host the 32nd edition of the UAE President Cup Purebred Arabian Grand Prix on 15th December 2024.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and President of ADTC, the event will feature a prize pool of AED 10.8mn ($2,937,600).
This year’s event will consist of seven races, including the prestigious UAE President Cup, Purebred Arabians Grand Prix (Group 1), with a grand prize of AED 8mn ($2,176,000), promising fierce competition among the world’s elite Arabian horses racing over 2,200 meters. Additionally, the President Cup for Thoroughbreds will offer a prize of AED 1mn ($ 272,000).
The prize pool has seen a significant increase of AED 5.2mn ($1,414,400), bringing the total to AED 10.8mn ($2,937,600). The reception and barrier draw for the UAE President Cup will be held on 13th December.
Ali Al Shaiba, Director-General of ADTC, expressed excitement about welcoming international competitors and emphasized their goal to enhance global recognition for Purebred Arabian racing while delivering a world-class experience in Abu Dhabi.

Faisal Al Rahmani, President of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing (IFAHR), praised ADTC for becoming a key venue for international Arabian horse races, highlighting its excellent facilities and top-tier racecourse.
Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, General Manager of the Emirates Racing Authority, also emphasized the significance of the UAE President’s Cup in advancing Arabian horse racing, crediting Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s leadership for its global stature.
In 1994, the UAE President Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses was established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s founding father, to emphasize the significance of purebred Arabian horses and their distinctive attributes in the world of racing.
Today, the UAE President Cup stands as the premier event in global purebred Arabian racing, attracting top racehorse owners, trainers, and jockeys from across the world.
